Types of Injection Molded Plastics Injection Molding is a manufacturing process that can create complex parts or simple parts. The simple parts are called “monoblock” parts. The parts may be of a single color or they may be multi-colored. Thermoplastic Plastics: Most of the plastics used in injection molding are thermoplastics. They have a clear or translucent appearance, are easy to clean, and do not require paint after injection molding.
